Mason eating seaweeds for the second time...

I don't think I need much words to describe my baby's reaction when he's eating seaweeds... The first time was hysterical so I had to record it and of course share the craziness!!!

Orbit baby review

Today I've decided to review the stroller we've had for almost a year now. I think I've got enough practice with it to give it the most honest review! When I was pregnant I had no idea which stroller to choose. There were so many on the market!

I hesitated a long time between the Stokke Xplory and the Orbit Baby and after some research we decided to buy the Orbit Baby G3. I didn't have a chance to try any other one for the same amount of time, so I don't now if the Orbit Baby is the best one. But I do really love it! It suits our needs perfectly...

I'm now using the stroller seat but I used the infant car seat for the first 6 months of my baby's life. You're supposed to be able to use it up to a year, but even though Mason could have used it longer he didn't like the shape of it. It was too compfy and he couldn't see much around. He really needed to be in a real seated position. Once we switched to the stroller seat he was really happy!

I love the fact you can add or remove the snack tray on it!

It works pretty well. It's a little bit too high for my baby to reach for now but I'm sure pretty soon he'll be tall enough and it'll work just fine.

The sun shade on the Orbit Baby stroller seat is amazing. It's pretty big but it works very well! For me it was so important since it's almost always sunny in LA :) It comes in many different colors so you can create your own stroller. You can also choose your stroller frame from 2 colors, and for the seat you have 3 options. I'm using the black frame with the Mocha seat and cargo basket.

One of the big advantage of this stroller is that it rotates 360 degres on the base.  All of their seats are made with that base so you can use all of them on it. It's so conveniant. I used the infant car seat, the stroller seat and I also use the toddler car seat. I love it when I go to restaurants or to parks because I can put my baby facing on the side to feed him without using a lot of room! It's also very easy to put him in a lying down position.

You have three height level for the handles. I'm pretty short, so you can see I have it at the lowest level in the pictures. But you can adjust it so everyone in the family can use it!

Overall I really LOVE our stroller. I'd choose it again if I had to. It's very fonctionnal and I love how it looks too - and that's always important to me :p

Best baby bottles

Today I decided to review the baby bottles we use. There are so many of them on the market, and I found it pretty difficult to know which one would be best to buy. I didn't try every single one that you can find on the market, but here are my thoughts about the ones we have. And I'm pretty happy about my choices...

My favorite ones are the MAM bottles, for a few different reasons. First of all because my baby loved them since the very beginning. I think he likes the texture and shape of the nipple. I also love them because they are very easy to clean. You can open the top AND bottom of them - which is pretty smart!  And just as much as anything else, the design is important and I think these are the cutest you can find on the market!

They also exist in a glass version which I love. They're practically unbreakable. A little bit heavier but by now my baby doesn't really care. He's using them all the time! The drawings on it are so beautiful. We have them in different colors too.

The JOOVY bottle is my second favorite. It's the one I used at first while I was breastfeeding. I chose that one at first because the nipple is supposed to be very similar to a breast nipple for the baby. My baby loved it, and I was able to pump and use that one for a break in breastfeeding once in a while. It work really well for us!

The ORGANICKIDZ one is great too but not my favorite. I love that you can transform it into a sippy cup or water bottle. You can also add handles to it so it's easy for your baby to grab onto. It's stainless steel so it's supposed to be healthier for your baby. It's not transparent, though, so you can't see how much liquid you put in it (even though you have a graduation cup to help you). The good side of this one is that it's 100% recyclable. I also liked the design of it, but it fades easily. If you want to keep it the way it is you'll have to wash it very carefully!

The last one and newest one we have is the HONEST COMPANY bottle. Even with all the ones we have, I had to give it a try. I love most of their products but their bottle is not the best one! It works well but the bottle is soft so it's very easy to squeeze and makes the liquid come out too fast. I already use a nipple with a fast flow for my baby, so when he holds it on his own he squeezes it and it goes way too fast! So maybe he needs a little bit more practice to get used to it... Otherwise I like it - I think it's a cute one and it comes in 3 different colors.

11 months old

It's breaking my heart to know my baby is already 11 months old. Don't get me wrong, I love him and I love the little funny human being he's becoming. But I can't get it around my head that next month he'll be a year old and become a toddler! Where did the last 11 months go? It feels to me so much shorter! Well I should stop feeling like that and just embrace it and enjoy every second with my amazing 11 months baby!

Despite that, I think he's at the best stage. I feel like he understands everything now and starts to show so much more of his personnality. He's my baby so of course I love every single bit of him!

This month he got his very first cold. It wasn't fun to see him like that but I think we were lucky to have the last almost 11 months without any difficulties besides teething pain! He wasn't even cranky while sick and I was so surprised. Best baby ever! Now he's much better but he has two new teeth cutting through and so much pain. I really hope they'll be out very soon so he can enjoy life a little easier...

Ahah I know it's bad but I love that pic! I had to share it with you :). For once I can show another side of my silly monkey. He's starting to be a little bit capricious lately and sometimes when I say "no" to him he'll get upset! Not for long though, and it feels like he forgets about it right away.

^ I love how he's looking at me while he grabs the tablet - knowing he's not supposed to :) ^

I thought he would be walking by his first birthday but now I think he won't. He loves cruising around the house holding on to furniture but if I try to hold his hands and make him walk he totally refuses. I also bought him a pushing cart and he couldn't care less about it! I guess I'll have to wait a little longer and I'm totally fine with it.

Big thing for his first birthday - I think I'll have to make him gets his first haircut. His hair is too much in his eyes and not so comfortable for him...

Mason's bedroom

Today I wanted to share with you my favorite room in the house! I always dreamed of having a beautiful bedroom for my baby. When I was pregnant I was so frustrated because we were in a one-bedroom apartment in New York City and I couldn't create what I had in my mind. I was so looking forward to making my own baby nursery for so many years, and I couldn't have it at that time. So as soon as we moved to Los Angeles, I tried to create what I've envisioned for so long... A little dreamland where my baby could sleep in peace...

I don't know what I love most here. To me every single piece is beautiful! I love spending time with him playing in his bedroom...

I fell in love with this crib right away. When I saw it the first time I knew it would be THE one for my baby!

His little play area in the bedroom is so cute and those shelves are very well adapted for him. It's just about his height and he can take everything out easily! Maybe too easily - sometimes if I turn my back 5 minutes, when I come back, everything is out all over the floor! But I remind myself it's normal and that every baby at that age does the same.

I don't know why but for some reason since I was pregnant I got this craziness about bunnies. I love them and put them everywhere!

I love chandeliers in baby bedrooms, but a lot of them are very girly to me. It took me a long time to find the right one! This hot air balloon was the perfect touch for Mason's bedroom - not just because it's beautiful but also because it kind of matches our story perfectly. If the sky and flying wasn't involved, Mason wouldn't exist :)

That wood horse though!!! It took me quite some time to get my hands on it! When I found it, they were just changing it to a newer version that doesn't look at all the same. What I love about it is that it looks so old! After so many calls and harassment they finally found one that was laying around at the back of the store in Boston and shipped it to me. I was sooo happy that day! My baby is still too young to ride it, but he loves it so much...

Please leave a comment and let me know what you think about the room and if you have some examples of your own!

Mommy & me - Classic black and white outfit

Today I'm wearing my favortite color - black! But with a little touch of white too. I think black is such an easy color to wear and it's very difficult to go wrong with it. Today I'm wearing a very classic, easy to wear, every-day black and white outfit. My baby is as always matching me! Even though for a long time you'd have never seen black on baby. It is now a trend and there is a lot of brands that makes black baby outfits. I personnaly love it!

 ^ His hugs though ♡ ^

My baby's little sheep fur moccs are probably one of my favorite purchases lately. I think if they had made it for adults, I'd have bought some for myself. They look so beautiful and seem to be so comfy. Ok I think maybe they'd lose the cuteness in it if they were in adult size :)
