National ice cream day - Grey & white matching outfits

We would use any excuse to go out and eat an ice cream! So of course when we heard it was National Ice Cream Day we could not resist.

However, it didn't go according to plan - the ice cream shop we wanted to go to had a huge line and probably a 30 minutes wait - and who would wait that long with a toddler who's already super excited and impatient to get his ice cream!

It took me a long time to find cute and comfortable sandals for Mason! His feet are so chubby it's always been a challenge. We love love love these sandals and they come in a lot of different colors, and right now like a lots of things they are on sale! To shop them click below... Oh and did I mention how great they smell?!

Just after Mason woke up from his nap we told him what we were gonna do, and he was immediately set on pink ice cream. So pink it was, no matter what. The only pink they had at the store was a watermelon sorbet which to me tasted horrible! I was dead sure Mason wasn't gonna like it and I was gonna have to switch mine with him. But I was happily wrong! He LOVED it and actually hated mine - I had a lemon sorbet and I'm sure it was too acidic for him!

They gave him a spoon to try before buying it. He kept it and decided to eat his entire cone properly with the spoon. I didn't even have to wipe his mouth after - that's how clean he was! And for a 2 years old I think it's pretty amazing...

I couldn't get enough of the sun. It was late in the afternoon and it wasn't crazy hot! The sun was right on us and I was in heaven. We had an ice cream on a pretty busy street but the only think I could think of was to have a piƱa colada on the beach in a remote place... I think I'm dreaming of a little vacation!

Every single time Mason has an ice cream outside he becomes the attraction on the street. So many people stop and stare at him because he's too cute! Maybe slightly less now that he eats only one. Yes he got over his freaky stage of needing one in each hand... Yay to that!

We found a beautiful street art wall at the end of our walk. It was made with a bunch of hearts and I obviously had to take a pic with Mase. He's been teething like crazy for a few days and sucking his thumb a lot which makes him look a little bit more like a baby to me so I have to say that I love it!

That's how he looks when I try to take a selfie with him! He's like, "mom I'm so over it..." ;)

If you follow me you can probably tell that I'm obsessed with these sunglasses. They just go with everything and the tortoise shell color they have is just sooo pretty. I've got quite a few messages asking me where I got them, so I linked to them below!
I also have to say that these shorts are on sale right now so you shouldn't hesitate to get them. They come in white or in black! They are so comfy and the lace is really really pretty and feminine.

Mommy and me matching outfit - Shades of beige at the amusement

Yesterday was quite fun! Anthony's work privatized the amusement park at the Santa Monica Pier for the day and we had access to all the rides and games. We took Mason there before but besides the carrousel he was still a little bit too young to do anything.

It was the perfect occasion to try everything. Unfortunately Mason wasn't in his best mood so we had quite some tears through the day but we still try to make him have some fun. It's always hard to do things and have some fun when he's teething and cranky.

Growing up I was addicted to amusements parks.  I remember asking my parents to go all the time! I hope Mason will really like it one day too...

There's some kind of games he's used to play on the phone and this time he could do it in real. It was funny to watch because he knew right away the point of the game! But he's much better at it on a screen than in real life.

We had access to so many kind of junk food Mason was in heaven. I usually don't let him eat too much of these kind of stuff but today was a special day so I didn't look at what he was eating and let him have fun! The kid loves popcorn!

We played a few games and there was a big lion I really wanted to win for Mason so we decided to play together with Anthony so we would have more chances. Anthony got it and made me soo happy! Now Mason wants to sleep with the lion and I'm fighting with him because he's way too big to stay in his crib....

I got some cotton candy for myself. I've always loved it but I can't eat too much of it! My skin reacts very badly when I consume too much sugar. Once a year isn't bad so I let myself have some. Mason wanted to try it but when he saw the texture he didn't want any. He found it very weird that I was eating it. His face was sooo funny! In a way it's good, at least it's a little bit less sugar for him.

Instead he got some dippindots which were kind of disgusting and full of bad things! But seriously look at how much he enjoyed it...

Healthy yummy pizza for kids

Mason is a pretty good eater for most things but when it comes to veggies it's another story! I'm always searching for ideas to make him eat some and it's soooo hard! I used to make them in puree and mix them with tomato sauce with pasta but this trick is way to easy and he always finds out and refuses to eat them. After trying many different things, I came across this pizza at a restaurant and he loved it. I couldn't believe it, so I decided to try making it at home! I've been making it quite often and so far he always ate it all!!! So I couldn't keep it to myself and had to share because I know I can't be the only one dealing with a picky toddler...

Every kid loves PIZZA! But would your kid eat cauliflower crust pizza? There is only one way to know...

It's easy, kind of fast and super tasty! Here's what you'll need:
- 1 bag or 1 head of cauliflower
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup of goat cheese
- 1/2 cup of tomato sauce
- 1 mozzarella ball

Preheat your oven to 380 degrees.

To start, you need to rice the cauliflower. You can buy it riced already but it's never thin enough for me so I do it myself. Blend it very thin so kids can't notice any crumbs.
While you do so, boil 3 cups of water in a pot.

Once your water is boiling pour the riced cauliflower into it.

Let it boil for a good 5 minutes on medium heat, stirring it constantly so it doesn't overflow.

Then drain it. Rince it with cold water! This step is very important so you don't burn yourself after!!!

Once it cools down put the cauliflower in a cloth towel and twist it to remove all the excess water left. There is gonna be a lot and you'll have to do it thoroughly to have your dough dry enough after.

Once it's done put the cauliflower back in a mixing bowl. Add the goat cheese and the egg and mix it all together until you have your dough. It's not gonna be dry but don't worry.

Once it's mixed well, take a baking sheet and cover it with parchment paper.

Spread your dough on it about 1/4 inch thick. If it's too thin it will burn and if it's too thick it will keep too much moisture.

Once it's ready place it in the middle rack of your oven and let it cook for 30 minutes (or until the edges start to get a nice light brown color).

Once your dough is cooked enough add the tomato sauce and mozzarella on top of it and put it back in the oven for 15 minutes (or until everything is melted/cooked enough for you).

I use simple ingredients, but like every pizza you can customize it, and use anything your little one likes!

Let it cool down for 5 minutes,  and then let the yumminess begin!

It's not a crust as hard as a real pizza, so if your kids let you cut it into pieces, you should do it. I was able to do it with Mason easily until recently! Now he gets all messy but he still eats it very well.

It's good for kids but very good for parents too! This way everyone gets their serving of veggies in an easy and tasty way!

I hope you and your little ones will like it as much as we do! Please feel free to ask any questions and if you take pics of your kids eating it I would love to see them! Tag us @myloveandbeyond ...
